DARK KNIGHT RETURNS is a 1986 four-issue comic book miniseries written by the renowned award-winning graphic novelist Frank Miller and illustrated by Frank Miller and Klaus Janson. This miniseries is widely recognised as a landmark piece of work in the graphic novel industry which has since changed the way stories, artwork and graphics are presented in comic-dom. The artwork plus the ingenious treatment of the graphics by colorist Lynn Varley in DARK KNIGHT RETURNS exudes a very unique flavor and character to one of the highest rated and most beloved stories of Batman.
